About Me & The Old Potato Store

As a trained and qualified interior designer and stylist, I have worked on set designs, photography content and TV commercials for some of the UK's leading interiors brands and lifestyle magazines. I regularly use my stylist's eye to source and hunt out unique and gently time worn antiques, vintage & salvaged treasures for your home.

I specialise in sourcing decorative antique and vintage furniture and accessories that make a space feel individual and personal, such as French gilt mirrors, original antique oil paintings & artwork, faded and aged decorative architectural salvage and traditional handmade practical objects. I also keep my eye on trends within interiors, this being part of my job as a stylist and pick up on these quickly and often use them to inform my buying trips. Stock changes consistently but includes modern farmhouse, cottage core, style chippy painted furniture, skirted chairs and French Napoleon III slipper chairs, French country rustic baskets and bread boards and Liberty style furniture from the Arts & Crafts movement.

Sustainability is at the forefront of my business and all my packaging is recycled and reused - but, as a designer, aesthetics are everything. If something is useful and beautiful, I believe that it can be reused or repurposed.

The Old Potato Store is located in Urmston, a leafy suburb of Manchester in the UK, in a former Victorian, stone floored building. It was previously owned by the local Allotment Society from 1901, and was used to store seeds, bulbs and yes potato plants. Although I'm based in the UK I can ship many items overseas so please always contact me for a shipping quote.
